Grind to the second grate and jump high in the air over it. The pipe in the image is actually up above your head. You have to ride up the debris ramp then grind to jump to a higher area. In the image, you see 3 palm trees in the background. Once you narrow down where those are, you can race there and worry about spotting the egg. Don't worry about actually finding the egg in the first two or three tries - just look for your key visual markers. You need to look very closely at the visual clues provided in the quick glance.
